Cloudeebus

This Project Provides: D-Bus proxies for JavaScript

The Value of the Cloudeebus Project

A cross-browser solution, Cloudeebus, or ‘D-Bus for the cloud,’ is a component that provides D-Bus proxies for JavaScript, enabling greater cross-application communication, managed by an application developer rather than a system developer. Unlike a web runtime, it doesn’t rely on any custom web browser API, but rather on HTML5 WebSockets and python D-Bus bindings. This allows a JavaScript programmer to call D-Bus methods and register on D-Bus signals.

Who It’s For

Cloudeebus is available to Linux operating system and system developers who wish to enable greater cross-platform capabilities for their application developer community. Mobile, in-vehicle services, tablets, clamshell computers and desktops can use Cloudeebus.

Project Specifics

This is an active open source project distributed under the Apache v2.0 open source license. With an established codebase, Cloudeebus is written largely in JavaScript and Python.

About Intel Involvement

Intel is the leading contributor to Cloudeebus, enabling application and system developers in the Linux community to increase the capabilities of applications and systems. Cloudeebus is enabled through open source for the Intel® Atom™ processors and Intel® Core™ processors.
