Sorry for my mistake, this is indeed a supported platform on our open source stack.
This is a Pineview. but as far as I know it should support 2 outputs.
Have you tried xrandr? what does xrandr --verbose reports when you have both monitors plugged in?

I was able to see both attached video outputs at the same time. I was attempting to split them to 2 separate X Screens (:0.0 and :0.1). The LVDS output is attached to a touchscreen LCD at 800x480 resolution, and the VGA output would be attached to another display (varying resolution, depending on what is attached). The main reason I'm looking to split them to 2 separate X screens is positioning and touch calibration. With 1 big screen and positioning the 2 outputs, the touch events for the LCD are spanning the entire screen, where I am looking to keep it isolated ot the 800x480 region that it is using. I can retry the development branch. It will be a few days before I can get back to it though.

I'm interested in setting up X on an Intel-Atom based system (D525) running Debian Wheezy (7.3) to have 2 separate screens. I have tried using XaphodHeads, and looked through a number of other configuration tweaks, but I haven't been able to get it to work. I have tried upgrading X and the Intel driver to unstable, with no success. Is it technically possible to get this to work in some manner (with work on the driver, or kernel-level), or is this kind of system not capable of providing the 2 separate screens?
