Hi - although Mint is not officially supported, some forum users have had success using the installer
with Mint, as outlined here:

I need to upgrade my hd4600 intel graphics driver in Linux Mint Debian Betsy.
I downlaoded the driver from here.
Not sure how to install from source.
Would appreciate any help you can provide.
