The only thing I can think of is that the TV is returning invalid or nonstandard signalling/data over the HDMI cable, given that your machine can drive other HDMI displays. Do you have any other HDMI sources you can test the TV with? Is there anything relevant-looking in dmesg or Xorg.log when you plug in the TV?

Hello,
I'm trying to have triple display on my Xubuntu 14.10. My MB has 3 connections: vga, dvi, hdmi. Connecting two Dell monitors on VGA and DVI works without problems. But when I try to connect TV on HDMI starts some interesting stuff. When booted Xubuntu, TV says "No signal" (tried 3 different HDMI cables, same result), but when I connect any monitor to HDMI - all three displays works as expected, with same 3 HDMI cables I tried with TV. When booted to Windows 8.1 - TV (HDMI) and other 2 displays (VGA and DVI) works also as expected. Looks like somehow Xubuntu does not want to work with particular TV. Xrandr says, that HDMI is not connected. Is there anything I can do, to enable TV on HDMI with Intel card and 1.0.8 drivers?
