This Project Provides: UPnP library source code for Linux.
The Value of the GUPnP Project
GUPnP is an easy to use object-oriented open source framework for creating Linux UPnP devices and control points, using the GObject and libsoup libraries. The provided API is easy to use, efficient, and flexible. It provides the same set of features as libupnp, but shields the developer from most of UPnP's internals.
Who It’s For
The project provides a set of libraries that can be used by Linux application developers, operating system vendors, original device manufacturers and system integrators to provide UPnP and DLNA functionality – such as mediaservers – to their users.
This is an active open source project distributed under the LGPL open source license. With a mature and established codebase containing about 70,000 lines of code, GUPnP is written largely in C with XML. The libraries are included in all major Linux distributions and have been shipped on several end user devices.
About Intel Involvement
Intel is a leading contributor to this project, progressing Linux distribution value on the Intel(R) Atom(TM) processor and the Intel(R) Core(TM) processor.
