Crash when selecting polygons.

    System : Fedora 19

    Hardware : Fujitsu Lifebook with Intel HD 4000 and Nvidia 640M

     

    Hi all,

     I'm testing Softimage on a Fujitsu laptop with an i915. The application crashes whenever a polygon is selected. This happens only when polygon is selected, not if NURBS or implicit object is selected. Also this didn't happen if polygon editing is done in Blender3D.  I also tested this on a different laptop with NVIDIA proprietary driver and Softimage could run just fine.

    Tried to debug the process using gdb, and here is what I found;

    Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

    Searching over the net about the issue brings me about the VBO selection problem bug in mesa-9.0 which was supposedly fixed (the same issue and the same segfault at the same line from t_vb_program.c).

     

    Is there any other workaround, like wrapping libdricore.so with other Intel's dri library that could solve this problem?
