I used Baytrail motherboard with Fedora 20 32bit and update kernel to 3.15.7. I found that when I reboot the system, it will black or can't enter system showed "Soft lockup CPU#1 stuck for 22s " or "do_boot_CPU failed(1) to wake up CPU#3 " as the attached picture. And when I shutdown and turn on the computer, it can boot normally.
But when I execute the following operations:
The kernel 3.11.10 is OK .
Disable the C-state is OK .
The Baytrail is 4 cores CPU. Turn off processor Cores to 3, 2 or 1 core is also OK.
I want to know that when I reboot the system goes black , is it has relationship with kernel or BIOS or hardware? What can I do for the problem? Could you help me to solve the problem?
By the way, I know that Linux has its own microcode, so how to update microcode? Thank you very much!
