This is very strange indeed.
Can you please post some logs for us:
lspci --nn | grep VGA
dmesg # after boot kernel with drm.debug=0xe and actually get the blue screen (trhough ssh maybe)
/var/log/Xorg/*.log
Were you facing this behaviour before the upgrade with Installer or it was caused by Installer?
Thanks,
Rodrigo.
Hello,
i did built a new PC with a Z87 Chipset and a
Core i5-4570S CPu.
I installed Ubuntu 13.04, did all updates and installed the latest intel driver with this tool. The kernel is version 3.8.0-30-generic.
During reboots/boots i see a very strange Blue screen
with horizontal lines that are moving. On askubuntu we tried to solve this problem by changing xorg.conf settings and forcing older drivers, without any luck.
You can see the problem in this link:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0QD0SWw2o_wY3hVNTUyWlk5aEU/edit
is this a problem that will cause my hardware to fail?
what can I do to make this problem go away?
Ok. i did try the 3.9 and 3.11 Kernel, both still show this strange screen.
greetings
Rupert
