Hi. I have a laptop with Intel i5-6200U and HD520 running Ubuntu 15.10 Kernel 4.2

Comparing to Windows 10, the video playback in Linux is not as smooth as in W10. CPU usage are high especially when playing 4K video. Both MPV and VLC are set to use VAAPI as its video ouput, still it uses 80% of CPU power where in W10 it uses 30%-35%.

I have upgraded the Graphics Stack to the latest available from 01.org.

Can you point me why support for Skylake are poor in Linux? and finally are there any solutions to make Video Playback in Ubuntu as smooth as in Windows?

    Thanks in advance
