Power Well Down, linux kernel 3.18.14

    Hi All,

    I am customizing my own kernel and system and meet a situation that my program stopped working

    By looking the value of files in sysfs files of i915, I found

    1 i915_drpc_info

    Video Turbo Mode: yes
    Turbo enabled: yes
    HW control enabled: yes
    SW control enabled: no
    RC6 Enabled: yes
    Render Power Well: Down
    Media Power Well: Down
    Render RC6 residency since boot: 3240737317
    Media RC6 residency since boot: 2400013331
    Forcewake Render Count = 0
    Forcewake Media Count = 0
     
    The Render and Media Power Well  is down
     
    2. clients
                 command   pid dev master a   uid      magic
                    Xorg  2375   0   y    y     0          0
               <unknown> 24772   0   n    y     0        121
     
    My program name is missing in clients file.
     
    3.  i915_error_state   
    no error state collected
     
    Although the system still alive, display is freezed and mouse cursor still alive.
     
    I am interesting in
    1. who turn off the power well?
    2. Why the program name is still in 'ps aux', but is missing in i915 driver?
