I have trouble with the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and Ubuntu 15.10.
After a few hours of use, the X server crashes and it takes me back to the log in screen.
On Launchpad, there are several bug reports about this issue with Intel graphics cards,
and one workaround is to switch from SNA (Ubuntu default) to UXA by chaning the X.Org settings.
I have done that, the graphics are noticeable slower, but I do not get any crashes anymore.

Do I use this installer to fix the issue or is it something that will be fixed by an Ubuntu update?
Hi - this release of the installer doesn't update the kernel module, as 15.10 already had the required version of the driver - so it won't fix this bug.
It's possible a later release of the installer will, or that an ubuntu update will introduce the sna/uxa workaround - it all depends on whether there's
a suitable fix waiting in a more recent kernel, or if the bug originates elsewhere in the graphics stack, or some combination of those. I'll pass the info
on to the Intel dev team (in case they don't know already) - for now I'd suggest you stick with the uxa/sna workaround.
