  • Acer C7 Chromebook running 13.04 KDE Lightdm through crouton.  When it searches for card, gives error- "You don't seem to have an intel graphics card, so no updates needed."  What do I need to do to install?  Thanks.  I searched, but can't find what I need and I don't want to download the wrong repo.

  • The installer checks to see whether the i915 kernel module is loaded (by checking /sys/modules/i915/initstate) If you aren't using the i915 module already, you [probably] don't have a supported GPU as the installer provides an updated copy of i915.ko - so it won't proceed.
