  • I'm Joe Konno ("thac0"), the human being writing this. My colleague Rodrigo Vivi ("vivijim") will be around the forum as well.

Hello and welcome to the Intel® Graphics for Linux* Power Users Forum! Here you can ask questions, help others, and share your experiences with the Intel® Graphics Stack for Linux*. This forum is intended for individuals who are, for example, building or integrating graphics stack packages from source, or experimenting with advanced configuration options to fine-tune their system. No one here fears the Linux* command line.

For users seeking help with the Intel® Graphics Installer for Linux*, I encourage participation in the Graphics Installer Discussions forum. Developers and package maintainers are encouraged to use the mailing lists for specific projects.

This forum is provided as a courtesy to facilitate discussion between power users-- such as gamers, hobbyists, or technical students. This is not an Intel technical support venue-- Rodrigo and I may or may not participate in discussion threads. For technical support, utilize official support channels provided by your Linux* distribution, your hardware manufacturer, or a specific open source project.

As with any community, there are ground rules to ensure everyone has a good time. All participation on this forum is automatically subject to the Terms of Service. There are Participation Guidelines as well.

To participate, log in or open an account. follows the standard Intel Privacy Policy. The only requirement to open an account is a valid e-mail address. All other information is optional.

If you encounter a problem and are seeking assistance, it is may be necessary to request "debug" data to aid in troubleshooting. However, no one will ask you for your personal information. If you receive a solicitation for personal information, alert myself or Rodrigo immediately. Do not respond to solicitations for personal information.

Cheers! See you in the forums!
