  • I keep getting this error message while trying to install drivers via the Intel Driver Manager.

    W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/hughescih/ppa/ubuntu/dists/raring/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found
    , W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/hughescih/ppa/ubuntu/dists/raring/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I also visited the URL in the browser. There is no Raring dist folder and the whole thing hasn't been updated since June 2011.

    System:

    • Ubuntu 13.04, Kernel: 3.8.0-22-generic
    • OS Type: 64-bit
    • Memory: 3,8 GiB
    • CPU: Intel Pentium B940 @ 2.00 GHz x 2
    • Graphics: HD 3000

  • Hi radddi,

Quick note that I'm relocating this thread to the Graphics Power Users forum. More in my next post.

  • Hi radddi,

The launchpad user "hughescih", or that user's delegate(s), is solely responsible for the contents of that PPA. 01.org has no ownership or control of that particular PPA. We only offer support for graphics packages hosted on 01.org.

I would encourage you disable that particular PPA and instead download and use the Graphics Installer. This will update the graphics and media packages on your system to the latest (2013Q1) graphics stack release.

    Cheers
