Over a month ago was last post concering mouse pointer corruption in Ubuntu. How are things going with fixing error? On the last linked page I see, that something is updated, but I do not understand how to get this update to my Ubuntu. Can someone tell me what I need to download and how to install it?

    Thank You!

    The situation is as follows:

    - there were mouse pointer corruption issues in the upstream
kernel which got backported for the 1.0.7 installer
    - they werent able to pinpoint for us exactly when the fixes
for said bugs went in, so it's kind of tricky to pick up the fixes
    - the updates for ubuntu 14.04.2 (out last month) provide a more recent kernel
and xorg and related packages than the installer anyway, so you're better off
installing those than continuing with the installer (on 14.04)
