On an intel nuc7i3 with xubuntu 17.04 and updated graphics using the tool, when in 4k with audio output over an hdmi cable, I get constant screen corruption and screen blanking. If I switch to 1080p output, or turn off the audio output over hdmi, the screen blanking and corruption seem to stop. Is there a way to fix this?
Not that I know of, but that does sound like an interesting glitch - I'll pass the question on and see if I can find out which team would be most interested in it.
Hi, would it be possible for you to submit a detailed freedesktop.org bug report on this NUC issue? If you do this, we can get more technical people seeing the issue and also it can be shared with our NUC platform team as needed. Question: If you install generic Ubuntu 17.04 on the NUC with no other updates, do you see the same problem? Did the problem happen before you ran the Update Tool? Thanks!
You likely already know how to do this, but just in case... https://01.org/linuxgraphics/documentation/how-report-bugs
