  • Hello. I own a Dell Notebook

    Dell Inc. Precision 7510/0YH43H, BIOS 1.4.8 03/15/2016

running with gentoo linux and latest available Intel driver and firmwares and Kernel 4.5

    It has a

    Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1535M v5 @ 2.90GHz (with HD Graphics P530 and Optimus technology)

I can not connect en external  Monitor with 3840x2160@60Hz (Asus XB280HK bprz, with DP and 60Hz)

When I connect my devie to this monitor, I get only  1024x768 @ 60.00. (When I enable Nvidia Only in BIOS then the resolution works just fine. A 2560 x whatever Dell monitor works also)

    xrands shows then

When I boot windows the resolution is also supported, so it must be some Linux limitations. Any Ideas?
