The Value of the Memhack Project

Memhack is a tool to access physical memory and registers, directly from a command line.

This project is composed of four different user space console applications.

• getmem – read data from memory
• setmem – write data to memory
• getio – read data from I/O
• setio – write data to I/O

Who It’s For

The project provides a tool for application and system developers. 

Project Specifics

This is a small, active open source project distributed under the GPL v2 open source license. With a mature and established codebase containing about  800 lines of code, memhack is written only in C.

About Intel Involvement

It is currently maintained by Intel can be used on device using the Intel® Atom™ processors and Intel® Core™ processors.
