Verbalucce analyzes text communication within Gmail. The extension provides real time feedback to users about congruency within an email exchange. This immediate feedback compares similarity in sentiment, message length and language style. In addition, historical analytics allow users to compare communication across relationships along dimensions such as formality and emotional expression.
When the Verbalucce Gmail extension is installed, analytics on incoming and outgoing emails are extracted and stored in a secure database hosted by Google. This database will store information such as email addresses, message counts, message length, and types of words (e.g., the number of pronouns, articles, emotion words, punctuation, etc.). The raw content of email is not stored. No identifying information will ever be published or shared externally. The analytics will be available for querying only by end users and by a small team of Verbalucce researchers.
The application can be uninstalled at any time. Uninstallation does not delete analytics from the cloud, but users can permanently remove email analytics from the database by clicking the “Delete from cloud” button. For more information, view the Verbalucce Privacy Statement.
